This page explains what information EmbSathi collects from you, why we collect it, and how it's used. EmbSathi is costing and materials management software for embroidery and textile businesses.

Information We Collect

When you sign up and use EmbSathi, we collect:

• Business name and owner name
• Mobile number (used to log in and for OTP verification)
• Email address (optional)
• GST number (optional)
• Business address
• Usage data you enter while using the service — your materials list, costing sets, designs, and related records

Why We Collect It

We use this information solely to provide and operate the EmbSathi service for you: to create and secure your account, to store and calculate your materials and costing data, to process subscription payments, and to send login OTPs.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We share limited data only with the service providers who help us operate EmbSathi:

• Razorpay — to process subscription payments
• MSG91 — to deliver SMS OTPs for login and MPIN reset
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — when you use "Scan design info", the photo of your design software screen is sent to Anthropic's AI to read the design numbers. EmbSathi does not save this photo.

EmbSathi Worker App

The EmbSathi Worker mobile app is used by workers (machine operators) who work at a factory that uses EmbSathi. When you use the Worker app, we collect:

• Your name
• Mobile number (used to log in and for OTP verification)
• Aadhaar number (read automatically, on your phone, from the photo of your Aadhaar card's front)
• Photos of the front and back of your Aadhaar card
• A selfie photo
• Photos of the machine screen that you take at the end of each shift
• The reason you give when you leave a factory

Why we collect it: your name, Aadhaar details and selfie let the factory owner verify your identity before you start work. Your shift records and machine screen photos are used to keep your attendance and production records.

Who can see it: only the owner of the factory you currently work at, and EmbSathi. When you join a new factory, its owner can also see your work history at your earlier factories: the production entries saved for you there, your last monthly salary there, and the reason you gave for leaving.

Where it is stored: all of this information, including photos, is stored on EmbSathi's own server. We do not sell it or share it with any third party. (Only your mobile number is passed to our SMS provider to deliver login OTPs.)

Deleting your data: you can delete your Worker account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account), or ask us to. Your work history at factories is kept even after deletion, and comes back if you sign up again with the same Aadhaar number — see https://embsathi.com/delete-account.

Data Retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account remains active, and as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. If you'd like your account and data deleted, see how to delete your account, or contact us using the details below.
